Overview

YDC-304 combines four isolated, independently adjustable DC outputs. Seven models provide 600 W, 880 W or 900 W per channel, with voltage and current limits chosen together for each model.

Additional product details

On the YDC-304, a numeric keypad and knob enter voltage and current set points, and a compensation function keeps output voltage accurate. Programmed YDC-304 list-sequence output runs stepped test profiles, nine preset memories hold repeated production settings, and an intelligent temperature-controlled fan keeps cooling quieter.

Four rails from one chassis

The YDC-304 suits stations that power several sub-assemblies of one DUT at once, or several identical DUTs in parallel test positions. Each output is isolated from the others and set independently, so rails with different references can be supplied without a shared return. The model number carries the rating: in YDC-30488-80-11, “304” is the four-channel series, “88” is the per-channel power divided by ten (880 W), and “80-11” is the per-channel maximum of 80 V and 11 A. Rated power equals maximum voltage times maximum current in every model, so pick the model whose voltage and current both cover the largest rail.

Key Capabilities & Applications

Independent supply rails

Each channel has the selected model's full rating. Voltage classes span 15 V to 150 V and current classes 6 A to 60 A; these maxima belong to different models.

Repeatable output profiles

List-sequence output, nine preset memories and 1 mV / 1 mA setting resolution support recurring test conditions.

Sense and communication selection

SENSE and RS-232 are standard. An optional LAN, RS-485 or USB communication interface replaces the standard interface.

Common applications

  • Production-line routine testing at the workbench
  • Laboratories and research institutes
  • Electronic repair
  • Integration testing of automated equipment

Performance notes

YDC-304 ratings in the model table apply to each output. All four channels of a YDC-304 model carry the same voltage, current and power rating, so a model is chosen by its largest rail.

For every model, load regulation and line regulation share the same figures. Voltage regulation is ≤ 0.1% + 20 mV on the two 30 V models, ≤ 0.1% + 15 mV on YDC-30490-60-15, ≤ 0.1% + 25 mV on YDC-30490-15-60 and ≤ 0.1% + 10 mV on the 60 V / 10 A, 80 V and 150 V models. Current regulation is ≤ 0.1% + 5 mA throughout, except ≤ 0.1% + 8 mA on YDC-30490-15-60.

Accuracy at real set points

YDC-304 setting and readback resolution are 1 mV and 1 mA, while accuracy at 25 °C ±5 °C is ≤ 0.1% + 10 mV and ≤ 0.3% + 10 mA. For a YDC-30490-15-60 output set to 40 A, the current accuracy limit works out to 130 mA; for a 12 V set point, the voltage limit is 22 mV. Where acceptance limits are tighter, verify with an external calibrated meter.

Selection guidance

Format: Four-channel isolated DC source

Coverage: 4 isolated channels; 15 to 150 V, 6 to 60 A and 600 W or 880 W or 900 W power per channel, by model

Best for: Multi-rail production and integration testing where four independent rails of up to 900 W each must come from one chassis.

If every rail stays within 300 W, the YDC202QW also offers four isolated channels at 150 W or 300 W each in a smaller 440 × 190 × 340 mm unit than the YDC-304. If two rails are enough, the YDC-302 Series carries the same seven per-channel ratings in a 2U, 9.5 kg chassis.

Information for your quotation

Mains supply is the first constraint

At full rating on all four channels of a 900 W YDC-304 model, the output alone is 3.6 kW — about 15.7 A at 230 V before conversion losses — so a fully loaded 900 W model will not run from a standard 10 A outlet. The input is rated AC 220 V ±10%, 50 Hz, but input current and power factor are not specified. Ask for the maximum input current at quotation and plan a dedicated circuit before the unit arrives. The 600 W models at full load still need 2.4 kW of output from the same input.

The YDC-304 datasheet does not cover series or parallel connection of outputs, tracking between channels, protection thresholds, transient response or the command set. Confirm these at quotation if the test plan relies on them, and name the interface you need: SENSE and RS-232 are standard, and a LAN, RS-485 or USB option replaces the standard interface.
