What is a Line Impedance Stabilization Network (LISN) and why do I need one?
A LISN provides a defined RF impedance between the DUT mains input and the AC supply, isolates external noise, and routes the conducted emissions to a measurement port for spectrum or EMI receiver capture. The EM5040 series is the compact LISN used in CISPR 16 and MIL-STD-461 conducted emissions pre-compliance benches. Pair with one of our spectrum analyzers for a complete bench.
